Created for the love and appreciation of soft things. Since we were all tiny new creatures in the world, soft objects have given us comfort and support. The objects we hold, touch and play with encourage and even ask for a feeling to be true. Each Twin Emotional Support Pillow is charged with an energy of expansion. May this feeling grow in you.
Pillows are hand made in NYC. Each pillow contains a gem that is lovingly charged in Paul's hands through deep meditation.
Twins Emotional Support Pillow was lovingly conceived on the Bowery in NYC. It came to being through the collaboration of 3 artists: Jamie Nami Kim, Tianna Lee Rodriguez and Paul Waters.
Jamie Nami Kim (b. 1977) explores feminine expression through the lived experiences of Korean women. Born to Korean parents—her father raised in post-war Japan—her work draws on memory, both personal and ancestral, to reflect how identity is carried, reshaped, and endured across generations. She sees her practice as an act of reclamation and renewal—a living dialogue with the past, present, and future that gives voice to women’s fortitude.
Tianna Lee Rodriguez (b. 1999) is a Hmong and Argentinian artist from California, currently based in Brooklyn, NY. She began her practice in costume design through local sewing workshops in Santa Barbara. During the isolation of the 2020 pandemic, Rodriguez turned to creating abstract pillows—soft sculptures meant to replicate the comfort of human touch. Her work has since evolved into custom designs featured in boutiques across New York, Los Angeles, and Shanghai. Drawing from magical surrealism, her soft sculptures explore organic forms and imagined figures, merging elements of the natural world with the dreamlike imagery of her inner childhood.
Paul Water (b. 1936) is an African American artist in NYC. He has been making art on The Bowery since 1967. He has traveled to Europe, Africa, Asia, the South Pacific, and South America. His fascination of shadows and symbols result in a timeless and playful language.
